In these turbulent times, everything is changing so rapidly and unpredictably but somehow it feels like the time has stopped. Sitting at home alone with your thoughts for weeks to come, makes you ask yourself millions of questions, right?

What will happen? Will I have a job in six months? Will we have enough money? How will I pay my rent/mortgage? What about my bank loans? When will I be able to do the things I used to do a couple of days ago? Do I really want to do the same things? Isn’t it time for a change?

When the danger passes, we’ll all be changed. For good. We’ll think differently and we’ll do differently. For good.

It’s not time to capitalise on chaos, it’s time to think about the future.

Is it possible to plan the future?

We can’t predict the future but it’s always good to have a plan. Why? Because we are humans, and we all need a purpose. This crisis is an excellent ‘wake-up call’ for you to take personal career planning seriously and develop your mindset and lifestyle:

  • Make a plan. You have plenty of time to come up with the perfect plan for your future. Now, people need innovation, competitors are in a vulnerable state and finding highly-qualified staff is easy. All of this means that today is the best day to start thinking about starting your very own business.
  • Not a risk-taker? It’s hard to decide on starting a new business during a downturn. Maybe you need someone who knows the industry better and for a longer time. In this case, maybe you should consider joining a stable franchise company that knows how to handle tough situations and always has a plan.
  • Take a step forward! The beginning is always the hardest. However, adding new goals to your plan becomes much easier, when you already feel comfortable with saving and investing more.
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now.”
– Chinese Proverb

Take control of your future!

Being an employee allows you to handle the work-life balance, to go on vacation during your annual leave, and brings simplicity in your life. The problem with having a proper job comes in uncertain times like these when you’re thinking: “Will I lose my job?”

Well, one is for sure – there is a constant feud that is going on between being your own boss versus being an employee with an 8-5 job.

Doubtlessly, the economic uncertainty is never a desirable situation. However, some of the world’s greatest businesses such as IBM, Microsoft, Disney and CNN have started during a recession. Have you ever thought about starting a business? If not, now is the time to do it.

It’s not a good time to start a business alone.

If you are unsatisfied with your day-to-day lifestyle, you don’t want to depend on someone in a time of crisis, or you just feel inspired and motivated to start your own business in the home-maintenance industry, we can help you to do that in the best way possible.
